Christmas 2009

This Christmas was a little different this year as I'm sure it will be every year now that everyone is married. Joseph and I spent Christmas with his family at Thanksgiving, so his parents came over for Christmas Eve to spend with my family as well as my sister-in-law's parents. It was so fun to have them there! It makes it nice that all of our in-laws are pretty much best friends and we can spend the holidays all together. We have always done our "Christmas" on Christmas Eve (that's why we never believed in Santa Clause). :) My mom hosted and had all the tables decorated so beautifully. My dad cut some trees down in our back yard, so my mom was able to make use of them for table decorations. The silver ornaments that are hanging represent each child and then one for each of their spouse. We also have one for each granchild as they come.

Sisters (Leah, Morgan, and Me) Morgan is pregnant with their third. Yippee!! But..how is it, that I look more pregnant than her? Ha! I hope its just the way I'm sitting. :)

Unfortunately I didn't take very many good pictures. As always, my New Year's resolution is to take more pictures (I get better at that every year). Hopefully you'll see more updates too!
Happy New Year!!!!

  1. How did I not know you had a blog? Your mom sets a beautiful table. I wish I had talent like that. We need to all go see a movie again soon.

  2. Your mom's tables were beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pictures. My daughter is an ob-gyn in Fayetteville so we are up there frequently. We enjoyed the white Christmas there even though it was so cold! Come join our Arkansas Bloggers group that is just now forming. Eventually, the group will have its own page with everyone listed by location. You can find that link on my blog. Happy New Year.
